The International Institute for Energy Training (IIET)offers the Certified Professional in Energy Performance Contracting (CPE) certification which consists of a total of six modules. It constitutes the base knowledge that is required to develop and operate an ESCO and is divided into Core and Technical curricula. The present session constitutes the Core level of the program. Individuals that successfully complete the 3 modules and exam of the Core level will receive the CPE certification delivered by IIET in collaboration with the international energy efficiency consulting firm Econoler.

1. Introduction to the Energy Performance Contracting Business Model (1 day)
This one-day introductory module provides an overview of the history of the concept, the different contractual model families developed and used worldwide, and the current use of the models for various sectors.
2. Introduction to EPC Contracts (1 day)
The module reviews the main clauses that should be part of the EPC, and focuses on specific issues that are critical to the success of this partnership. It can serve as a good introduction to the development of an EPC or a next step related to the development of EPC.
3. Financing EPC Projects (1 day)
The one-day module on EPC financing reviews the issues for project and ESCO financing, and presents the different models that have been developed and adapted for the use of this concept in various countries. This module is designed to interest financiers, ESCO operators, as well as public and private sector energy end users, who are all linked with the issues related to financing any type of EPC mechanism.
Certification Exam (3 hours)
If you are unable to attend the course, you may substitute another person in your place without penalty. All cancellations or postponements must be communicated to IIET by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
- Registrations cancelled more than 4 weeks prior to the course starting date: no penalty.
- Registrations cancelled between 2 and 4 weeks prior to the course starting date will be assessed an administration charge of $200.
- Registrations cancelled 2 weeks or less prior to the course starting date will be assessed 50% of the registration fee.
